I'm reaching WAAAY back into my archives to bring you my first ever Mounting picture. The thing I like most about this picture is the look on my companion's face like "WTF elder Storey... how old are you?" I hope people always have to ask that question.
I don't know what it is about trying to be playful and youthful and maybe not respecting things the way other's think that they should be respected, but it gets me going. If I know I'm not supposed to do something.... it makes me want to do it just a little bit more. So be careful the next time you bring me around something or somebody you respect like your Bishop or Grandma, cause I'll most likely have someone take a picture as I try to climb on their back.
Climbing on statues is rad. But don't take my word for it, get climbing and send me your pictures! You'll most likely end up on my blog and that means instant fame. And if you need more tantalizing photo pleasures in your life follow me @johndangerstorey on instagram

Choosing to See
Thanks to Bobbie (a cute Chinese girl that befriended us in Yungshuo last summer) we have this picture. Supposedly this place is somewhere in China that Japan invaded or something.... but it made me realize that people only care about what directly impacts them.
Like i've never heard of all the people that died in that war. Who knows how many millions of people die all over the world and I don't even seem to care. I just go on living and choose not to see people in need. What are you choosing not to see in the world? Is it injustice? World Hunger? A abusive relationship? Your own personal health? ..... could be anything. As for me.... I'm choosing not to see the Hunger Games. And that's final.

Is this really what police do all day?
"That face is the expression of one who is being watched by a security guard that has been specifically hired to keep people off." - a loose quotation by Scott Mantastic
You'd think there would be more important things for a human being to do than sit around and make sure nobody sits on a hunk of metal..... and you'd be wrong. Apparently the "establishment" thinks that their time is not better spent saving babies, feeding hungry children, or buying Tom's so that poor children everywhere can have a fashionable pair of footwear.
The photo on the right is another example of the same situation. Only this one happened under communist rule, which only goes to show that the USA and CHINA are actually the same country at the core. Every government wants to oppress it's statue climbing citizens! That's it! I'm calling for a REVOLUTION! I'LL BE AT THE FOREFRONT! ..... taking pictures of me on the statue of liberty as we tear her down.

Should I Call it Mounting?
Soooooo i've been jumping up and riding on things for a long time. Ok maybe not that long, but still the thought of uploading all my photos tonight is daunting. Instead I'm just going to do one of my favorites from my trip to Lijang, China and see if I get a response from anybody on the interweb. If people send me their photos, i'll keep going. If people don't send me their photos.... I'll probably still keep going, just lonely...by myself....with puppy dog eyes.
I've also been throwing around names. I know "Planking" got big and I was thinking I need to coin the phrase "Mounting" right now. So there. Coined. (credit to Angela De La Cruz aka the "credit mongerer" for the mounting reference that she may or may not have directly influenced)
LET THE MOUNTING BEGIN!
